I would like to finally welcome Faun to the shop! Like all previous artwork pieces in the store, Faun is available in A3, A2 and A1 size prints on beautiful matt Woodstock “Felt” paper and starts from £20.
I would like to welcome Giant Squid to the Bushy Tailed series. The latest artwork piece is the first addition since the series’ launch, and it is rather special.
Giant Squid is being featured by Design Milk as their Designer Desktop for August 2013! The wallpaper is free and ready in sizes for most monitors and laptops – and in keeping with my current free wallpapers it is available for iOS devices and the Retina Display MacBook Pros too. The wallpaper also features an inspirational quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes.
Lastly, Giant Squid is available alongside the rest of the Bushy Tailed Series as limited edition artwork prints from my shop.
Of course they’ll make their way into my gallery soon, along with some other incredible new things I’ve been working on. Until then, you can stay up to date by following me on twitter: @JethroWilson.
Launching today is the brand new Jethro Wilson Shop where you can purchase limited edition prints of my artwork. To celebrate the launch of the new shop, Bushy Tailed will be available for the first time as a Limited Edition Signed Print.
“But, you had a shop before that did the exact same thing, right?”
Yes, it is true I did have a shop before which has been unavailable the last few days while I prepared for the new launch. The reason for the relaunch with a new look was due to finding a new printer who works to an extremely high quality and cares about each new print. I wanted to really portray the high quality of each print and showcase fully ever piece of art available on the shop. Furthermore, I now ship truly worldwide! Shipping within the UK is completely free, while International Shipping comes in at just £8.
The new shop has a brand new look too! The Jethro Wilson Shop sports the sleek and slender Luna theme by BigCartel, (with some special modifications and tweaks that make it truly Jethro Wilson). This theme looks amazing and supports all device sizes, so you can browse comfortably from your phone or desktop, or both, at the same time! Why not throw a tablet in there too?
Each Limited Edition Print available from my shop is printed onto a beautiful 300gsm Woodstock ‘Felt’ paper; not only that, but each is signed and numbered too, making each one individual and unique. When you purchase a print from my shop, you’ll be able to display a unique piece of artwork on your wall, in your lounge or in your bedroom, kitchen – wherever you want!
The Bushy Tailed Original print is available right away, with Panda, the Sonic & Tails variations and the Majora’s Mask series coming soon in the next few days. Further artwork pieces from the Accolade series, Link’s Awakening series and some brand new artwork not seen in the old shop before will be coming soon after.
Prints start at just £20 for an A3, £25 for A2 and £30 for A1. Limited Edition Prints are short runs with only 100 available in each size.
I hope you enjoy browsing the Shop, and when your order arrives, I hope you love your artwork piece as much as I enjoyed creating it.
That’s right, the Faun which I unveiled a few months ago has joined the ranks of my other artwork in the Wallpaper Section. He is available to protect and cheer all your devices, be it an Phone, Tablet, Desktop or Laptop (And Retina devices too) – he is ready and available in all the common sizes. (But if you can’t get any of the provided sizes to fit just right, pop me an e-Mail and I’ll see what I can sort out.)
If you’ve been following me on twitter (@JethroWilson) then you’ll know that a few days ago I had promised to add quite a few things this week to my online gallery by the end of this week. Did I pace them out as I had planned? No. Are they available now though? Absolutely! Three incredible new pieces of work have been added to the gallery!
In at No.1 – Quick Sculpts.
You may have seen these on my twitter, whether or not you have, you can now find all of them right in one place. The Quick Sculpts are sets of 3 sculpts completed in ZBrush – each bust sculpted in 10 minutes or under. It’s a great way to generate rough and dirty concepts. Right now there are 4 sets (each a trio of sculpts) so go check them out now! I’ll add more to that page as I make them.
No.2 – Timepiece Concept.
This piece is the first in a brand new category of work within the gallery – Industrial Design. More about Industrial Design and what it is in another post perhaps, for now, go check out this Wall & Desk clock!
No.3 – Artist’s Clutch Drawing Pencil
Perhaps my favourite of the new pieces I’ve added today and the second addition to the Industrial Design Collection, this pencil has been ergonomically designed to be perfect and personal for each and every user. It is gorgeous and I would love to actually get it into production. (Currently I’m not sure that would be possible… but you never know! I’ll be sure to keep you updated if anything happens about this.)
What makes the pencil so special you ask? How about interchangeable rubber grips, built in sharpener and a coated brass design that wears beautifully. Check it out below and right here!
Enjoy the new pieces in the gallery! They’ll be more coming soon (and those larger creatures will get their own gallery page soon. They are larger so harder to tame…) Until then, you can stay up to date with the latest projects I am working on through twitter @JethroWilson.
These little critters have charged, en-masse, right into my gallery. Yep, and I’ve been busy rounding them up and organising all 31 of them into one page. They’re tame now, so there’s no chance of them rampaging around your computer. Just have a look around and enjoy your stay at the Jethro Wilson Micro Monster Petting Zoo.
You can find them right here.
If you’ve been following my adventures on Instagram, you may recognise some of the monsters – but this is a complete high quality (retina supported) collection of monster profiles. So be sure to check it out as you won’t have seen them all.
I keep finding these creatures everywhere, so as I tame them I’ll add more to the page. If you come across any in your travels, I’d love to see them, so why tweet a link over to @JethroWilson.
And in bonus news, A Scientist Mad (Commissioned by Michael Franks) is now available to view in my gallery too!
Not much has happened to my site in terms of new artwork since the Faun, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been doing nothing – far from it.
Recently I’ve been working to improve my social outreach; you can now find me in loads of new places including:
Dribbble (Prospect) dribbble.com/JethroWilson
This is in addition to my Twitter, Behance & DeviantArt profiles. If you use any of these regularly and would like to keep up to date with news and new artwork, please follow me.
Now for something else – I’ve got a brand new About page! Featuring a full portrait, contact details, short profile and links to all those new social contacts above. My CV and Portfolio (A4 Edition) can be found and downloaded from there. – so why not check it out now!
I’m working hard on my Full Portfolio (A3 Edition) and when that is finished a public version will be available to view and download right from the same place.
As I’ve been updating the site I’ve added some new thumbnails to the gallery. Seen them? They look pretty exciting and I am very excited to fully unveil the work in dedicated gallery pages shortly. Hold tight and check back often – university work and these other site updates have kept me tied up at the moment, but soon those previews will be available to view fully in the gallery.
Before I move on, I want to highlight that a brand new section has been added to the gallery; Client Work – yes, I’m available for commission.
Lastly, I’ve been working to streamline the site, make it faster, mobile ready & retina ready. My mission to unify my web presence is also a part of this process – all those social networking profiles sport my new portrait and all will be updated with the latest news as it happens. No matter what you use, you can follow me, be up to date and never left out.
I’ve been rolling out retina support to new sections as they are added to the gallery. Older parts of the gallery will be updated soon, but I’m sure you’re more excited to see the details behind the Mad Scientist thumb (who’s appeared on the gallery page) so he is my priority right now.
Ok, there’s one more thing. But it’s super special and really exciting. My latest project set by the university is quite an open ended brief – so I’ve chosen to re-design the pencil. More details to follow!

Unveiling New Things: Part 2.
[Updated: 9th Feb]
If you’ve been following me on twitter (@JethroWilson) you may have seen screenshots of my Faun which I’d been creating using Pixologic’s ZBrush. Well, my Faun is finished, rendered, assembled and ready to unveil to the world.
Update: Faun has been added to my Gallery – and he’s Retina Ready, which means those of you with iPhone 4, 4S & 5 or a new MacBook Pro can enjoy him at the beautiful highest quality web resolution. So go check him out! Faun in the Jethro Wilson Gallery.
